Acupuncture - Safe and Effective
Acupuncture is a method of encouraging the body to promote natural healing and to improve functioning. This is done by inserting needles and applying heat or electrical stimulation at very precise acupuncture points. The modern scientific explanation is that needling the acupuncture points stimulates the nervous system to release chemicals in the muscles, spinal cord, and the brain.

What We Do
Chiropractic is a drug-free, non-surgical science that has been practiced for over 100 years. It is the study of the body and its ability to heal itself, focusing on neuromusculoskeletal disorders and their treatment.
Chiropractors are physicians who possess the skills to diagnose health conditions and provide conservative treatments. This includes a range of things from spinal or other therapeutic manipulation/adjustments, to a variety of manual, mechanical and electrical therapeutic modalities.
The academic requirements to earn the Doctor of Chiropractic degree begin with three years of undergraduate study at an accredited college or university with course work concentrated in specific biological and basic sciences. This is followed by four years of professional study at a chiropractic college. An internship with clinical experience diagnosing and treating health conditions is required prior to graduation.
Chiropractors in Alabama are required to pass national and state board examinations to practice and are required to attend continuing education courses each year to maintain licensure.
